Deposits, Limits and Withdrawals in Spain
Playing on credit is not allowed at Spanish online casinos. Standard deposit limits apply by default: €600 per day, €1,500 per week and €3,000 per month. You can voluntarily set lower personal limits and the operator must apply them immediately.
The DGOJ also notes that the system of límites conjuntos (combined limits) is still being finalised in regulations. This matters because the market rules governing deposit restrictions are continuing to evolve.
Deposits and withdrawals are not processed in the same way. Deposits are usually credited quickly, whereas withdrawals may take longer because the operator can carry out extra checks linked to identity, payment security and fraud prevention. As a result, cashing out funds often takes more time than funding your account.
What to Check Before Making Your First Deposit
Before your first deposit you should review not only the available payment methods but also the withdrawal rules for that particular operator. Pay special attention to:
- whether you can withdraw via the same method you used to deposit;
- whether additional verification will be required when you request a withdrawal;
- any limits or restrictions that apply to a specific payment method;
- how the operator describes expected payout times and possible reasons for delaying a payment;
- what the contrato de juego (gaming contract) says about account blocks, checks and account closure.
