Foxwoods Resort & Casino

When Foxwoods Resort & Casino opened in 1992 it was the largest casino in the World. It is owned by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation and is currently ranked as the 4th largest casino in the World. Within the resort there are many casinos, hotels, restaurants, spas, theatres, a golf course, a shopping centre and a two storey play area for children.

Casino Games

Spread throughout Foxwoods Resort & Casino you will find over 300 tables where you can enjoy table games such as Blackjack, Craps, Baccarat, Roulette, Pai Gow Poker, Pai Gow Tiles, Crazy 4 Poker, 3 Card Poker, Ultimate Texas Hold´em, Criss Cross Poker, Let it Ride, Multi action Blackjack and Progressive Table Games.

With 3,400 slots from the top developers, you will have no problem finding a few new favourites. You can bet from 1c to $100 for each spin of the reels.

Upcoming shows include Jerry Seinfeld, Tony Bennett, Johnny Mathis, Justin Willman, Legends in Concert, Daryl Hall and John Oates, Set it Off, Almost Queen and Pitbull. The Fox Theatre also has a private VIP Experience in The Music Box.

You can also enjoy watching a movie from the comfort of your car at the Foxwoods Drive-In Movie Theatre. Traditional movie snacks such as Popcorn, Candy Floss, Sweets and Drinks are available.

Restaurants and Bars at Foxwoods Resort & Casino

Cedars Steaks & Oysters Restaurant is on the dining concourse of the Great Cedar Hotel and just off the Great Cedar Casino Play Arena and Play Bar. You can enjoy Premier Steaks and Maine Lobster dishes in the dining room or sit in the Lounge Bar and choose from a lighter menu that has a selection of Sandwiches, Burgers, Vegetarian pasta and Buffalo Wings.

David Burke Prime Steakhouse is in the Grand Pequot Tower and serves the best Himalayan salt patented dry aged meat that comes from Kentucky Creekstone Farms. Signature dishes include Surf & Turf, Thick Cut Bacon with a black pepper maple glaze, Dumplings and a delicious Caesar Salad.

Phillips Seafood is in the Fox Tower and serves seafood baskets of Calamari, Shrimp, Cod & Chips and a Seafood Sampler. You can also order platters of Crab & Crispy Shrimp, Double Crab Cakes and Grilled Mahi with Crispy Shrimp. There is a range of Tacos and a Clam Chowder Soup and sides include fries, hush puppies and various slaws.

The Rainmaker Buffet in the Rainmaker Square, provides you with dishes from all over the World. There is a New England seafood bar, wood fired pizzas, roasted and slow cooked meats and freshly baked bread. There are also live action stations where the waiting Chefs will cook your choice of American, Asian and Italian dishes. Desserts include hand dipped Ice Cream, Pies and a chocolate fountain.

If you enjoy dining with a view then head to Vue 24 on the 24th floor of the Grand Pequot Tower. Featured menu items include Lobster Bisque, Scallops, Escargot, Foie Gras, Oysters, the Grand Pequot Seafood Tower, Caesar Salads, Salmon, King Crab, Colorado Lamb, Braised Beef Short Ribs, Dry Aged Ribeye Steam and Veal Porterhouse.

Guy Fieri's Kitchen & Bar is on the Casino level of the Grand Pequot Tower. Here you can enjoy Trash Can Nachos, Bacon Mac & Cheese, Burger and Lobster Agra Diavolo and BBQ Bahn Mi. There is also a selection of sandwiches, burgers and entrees as well as a range of desserts including a Seven Layer Dark Chocolate Whiskey Cake.

Hard Rock Cafe is known for its authentic music memorabilia interiors and classic American menu. Located in the Rainmaker district, it is a great place to enjoy a Legendary Burger, fresh salad or entrées.

Spread throughout the resort you can also find more restaurants including the Grill Shack, Boar´s Head Deli, Einstein Bros, California Pizza Kitchen, Bake Culture, the Golden Dragon, Caputo Trattoria, Veranda Cafe and Regina Pizzeria.

The Live Atrium Bar & Lounge is a party bar in Rainmaker Square that has free entertainment to help you get your groove on.

The Shrine Lounge and Nightclub in the Fox Tower is a Bar and Lounge that has a great atmosphere and a range of Asian cusine.

The Scorpion Bar in the Fox Tower has over 100 different types of tequilla and inside and outside seating areas. Here you can also enjoy Scorpion Bowls, Margaritas and Mexican inspired cuisine.

Also inside the resort you can enjoy a drink at the M Bar, the Champagne Lounge, the Spin Bar, the Neon Pal Daiquiri Bar and the Stony Creek Brewery.

Accomodation

There are three main hotels at the Foxwoods Resort & Casino that all have swimming pools, spas and fitness centres. The Grand Pequot Tower has a AAA 4 Diamond Award and has 669 hotel rooms including 86 suites and 23 luxurious villas. The Fox Tower Hotel also has a AAA 4 Diamond rating and a range of different sized guest rooms and suites. The Great Cedar Hotel has amazing views of the ancient Connecticut Forest, a AAA 3 Diamond rating and 317 rooms and suites.

Located just off the resort is the AAA 3 Diamond Award Two Trees Inn. It is a Pet Friendly hotel that has 220 rooms, 60 suites, a heated indoor pool, a gym, a 24 hour shuttle to the Foxwood Resort and a tavern to play pool in.

Casino Facilities

If you love shopping and getting a bargin then head to Tanger Outlets. There are over 70 stores including Calvin Klein, Nike, Armani Exchange, Michael Kors, Old Navy Outlet, Guess Factory Store, H&M, Gap Factory Outlet, Brooks Brothers, Polo Ralph Lauren Factory Store, Skechers, Tommy Hilfiger and KAY Jewellers. You can take a pit stop for some refreshments in Haagen Dazs, Subway, Burger King, Dunkin Donuts, Sugar Factory, Starbucks or Panda Express.

The Norwich Spa is inside the Grand Pequot Tower and offers facials, massages, hair cuts and treatments, manicures and pedicures. There is also an indoor pool with a veranda, a whirlpool and a Fitness Centre.

G Spa & Salon is located in the Fox Tower and has a great selection of body treatments, massages, facials, hair services and a range of Native American treatments. There is also a Eucalyptus Steam Room, Sauna, Whirlpool, Waterfall and sun decks for you to relax on.

The Spa at Norwich Inn has an Indoor Pool, Sauna, Steam Room, Hot Tub and offers a complete range of Spa and Wellness services in their 37 treatment rooms. There is also a hair and beauty salon and a Fitness centre.

The Great Cedar Hotel has a spa that offers a range of massages and treatments as well as a hair salon. There is also a Heated Pool, Hot Tub and Sauna for guests to enjoy.

TopGolf Swing Suite is an indoor playground for those over 21. There is a DJ booth, arcade games, an ice bar and a great choice of cigars. You can also rent a suite where up to 8 people can play numerous different interactive sporting games including carnival classics, baseball, hockey and zombie dodgeball. The full service Craft Bar offers brick oven pizzas & wings, sandwiches, salads and warm chocolate chip cookies. They also have a selection of craft beers and speciality cocktails and there are some slot machines close by.

The multi-level indoor Monza World Class Karting track features hairpin turns and state of the art features. Take the wheel and race with your friends and family to see who will become the Ultimate champion.

The Highflyer Zipline starts at the top of the Fox Tower and is 350 ft high and almost 1 mile long. You can reach up to 60mph as you zoom across the Resort and land at the Mashantucket Pequot Museum & Research Centre. This is the biggest zipline in America and the only one that starts from a 33 storey hotel tower.

High Rollers Luxury Lanes and Sports Lounge has 20 bowling lanes including 6 for VIP customers to enjoy. They also have appetizers, salads, sandwiches and a range of dishes to share. There is comfortable seating where you can relax and enjoy watching the sports screens or tap your feet to the music videos.

The Treehouse Arcade in the Great Cedar hotel has loads of classic arcade games, pinball machines and the latest in interactive games.

Adrenaline Junkies should head to the Foxwoods Thrill Tower where you can feel the rush when you ride the Sky Launch human catapult and the Sky Drop 10 storey high freefall.

Other attractions inside the resort include Hologate Virtual Reality, the XD Dark ride and the Spellbound Escape Rooms.

Casino Weddings

The Spa at Norwich Inn offers a complete wedding service. They have a selection of Wedding packages that cater for large and small ceremonies and even have a special service for elopements. You can also hold your engagement party, rehearsal dinner, anniversary or bridal showers here. They have different breakfast, lunch and dinner options and can also provide Hors D´oeuvres, punches and speciality wines.

Golf

Lake of Isles is set in 900 acres of scenic woodland and there is a 90 acre lake. You can book a tee time or head to the Troon Golf Academy to receive a lesson from the top teaching professionals in the area. You can also make use of the 3D swing analysis, Golf Biodynamics and 60,000 sq ft of teeing, putting and chipping space. Matches Tavern has 6 large screen TVs, a full service bar and offers a light menu including Chilli, Clam Chowder, Wings, Shrimp, Salads, Sandwiches and an Angus Half Pound Burger. You can also make the most of special golf and hotel packages.
