Online casinos and bookmakers licensed by the Netherlands KSA

The Dutch online gambling license is issued by the Netherlands Gambling Authority (Kansspelautoriteit, KSA) under the "Remote Gambling Act" (Wet Kansspelen op Afstand), which came into force on April 1, 2021. From that day, bookmakers and casinos are required to obtain a special permit license from the KSA to offer their services to Netherlands residents via the Internet. The first recipients were major international operators — applications were accepted immediately after the law came into effect, and the first licenses were issued in summer 2021.

To verify the legality of a website, simply check the official KSA register and find the operator by name or license number (which is usually displayed at the bottom of the main site page as the "KSA-number"). All valid licenses are published on the regulator's website in the "Licentiehouders" section (https://kansspelautoriteit.nl/veilig-spelen/kansspelwijzer/). If the desired operator is present in the list and the number matches the one shown on the site — you can play safely and without risking violation of Dutch law.
